Growing up in a small coastal town in Maine, Rory Jose spent his summer months working at a local marina. Here, he spent his off-hours on sailing and fishing ventures. This ignited his lifelong love of the water.

 

He received his bachelor’s degree from Connecticut College, where he was a member of the rowing team. His college summers were spent working at the Nantucket Boat Basin. Following graduation, he resided in Boston, where he realized his true passion was working with marinas. An opportunity arose to travel south to Savannah in 2009 and Rory started his career at Morningstar Properties/Marinas. In addition to managing the marina operations, he researched and assisted with the acquisitions of new properties. Following his time at Morningstar, Rory continued his career by taking an opportunity at The Landings. There, he served as the Marinas Director and managed large-scale marina projects.

 

In the industry for 14 years, Rory is a Certified Marina Manager by the Association of Marina Industries (AMI). He is also an active member of the Georgia Marine Business Association, an Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway Association Liaison and serves on the Clean Marina Committee for Georgia. Since joining DAI Commercial/Wilmington Partners, Rory actively works at the Savannah Marina as the Director of Marine Operations.
